Bad news at the doc

10/7 – I started bleeding pretty badly again on Sunday morning, but I went to the blue angels anyway. I was a bit shaky and red when I got home. I went straight to bed and asked Trevor if he would take my temperature. It was only a tiny bit high, no fever. We had a regular check-in with the doctor this morning and it went very well. She did another ultraound and said it looked like everything was clearing up nicely She said the pain I was experiencing was likely chronic heartburn or indigestion from the antibiotics she had prescribed me.

The doctor said if I take the probiotics, everything should start to feel better by the end of the week, but that it could take 2 months for the pain to completely go away

More Blue Angels

I love the blue angels (they are like the “red arrows” in England). Yesterday I climbed out of my bedroom window to watch them practisting and I really wanted to go and see them on Sunday. Yes, I know they come every year, but don’t be such a grinch. So does Christmas, and I love that too!

I wish I had been a pilot, I would love this. On the beach where we are watching, they play cheesy Top Gun style music and everyone is in a great music.,

The only time I cry is when a pregnant women and her happy family come and stand directly in front of me. It is so comical that Belinda laughs: “of the whole beach, she had to stand RIGHT there!”

Blue Angels

10/6 I went to a dinner party at at Miranda’s on Saturday night and then Molly & Gareth’s leaving party. I don’t have enough energy to get to the Wedding reception I was also planning – it didn’t start until 11.30pm.  I think this was the last day I was still in denial that I wasn’t just bouncing back as “normal” after losing my babies.

Although I didn’t drink, I stayed at the party until late, and woke early. Some of my friends were still hungover so we almost didn’t make the blue angels on Sunday! Luckily, Belinda and Keith completely rallied and came and picked me up. It was so amazing! Poor Keith though, I don’t think he knew what he had let himself in for with the parking situation. He dropped me a Bee off just a couple of blocks away, so I didn’t have to walk very far as I can’t stand up straight and walk like a crippled old lady.

Wine

Miranda took me to the 5c sale so I could stock up on wine for the house. I like to buy it in bulk because we drink a lot of wine and this way I can get it under $10 a bottle (it’s half price, see?) BevMo asked if they could carry our wine to the car – and we said YES!!! Wow, this saying yes stuff is amazing. Going to my head!! (I picked up a case of malbec as it is Trevor’s favourite. They just happened to have a malbec tasting on that day, so we tasted a few to decide on which case to buy – also on the 5c sale!!)

Cheese!

Dana’s friend Iver picked us up and took us to the most amazing cheese & wine even EVAH!! I didn’t have to walk anywhere or do anything. And I got a free insulated bag at the end of it (that i used the next day to take my icepacks to the blue angels.) Pix from the cheese event are here: http://sp4ce.smugmug.com/Cool-Weekends/2012-07-Cheese-Faire/25806515_6WCQz2#!i=2135743202&k=X8Lkk4J

St Agur is one of my favourite cheeses. My friend Jonas introduced me to in LA right after LOTR.

The only thing I need to remember is that I am supposed to take the antibiotic with food, but no dairy. Since I eat so much cheese, I really needed to remember this. There is so much to remember; I updated the reminder in my calendar so say “no dairy”!

Memory of a goldfish

Miranda also brought me this. I think it might be the best gift I have ever received. She said I have seen it before (I had commented on one of her on facebook?). I “sort of” remember that.. I don’t remember it well, though. Apparently I have the memory of a goldfish. Oh… and Miranda brought me this awesome mug. Apparently I have seen it before.

White “whine”

Steve came home and drove me back from his house (where I had been hanging out all day hiding from the cleaners at my house). Miranda had asked if she could bring anything. I said no. She asked again. I have really got in to this accepting help thing. I said Yes, “white wine” SHE BROUGHT A CASE!!!!!!

Orange

Look at my free necklace (from one of my coupons) matches my sports bra (which I still have ice packs stuffed down). SO SEXY!! in other news, my boobs are now approaching normal size and no longer have their own gravitational pull!

So it is nearly 3 weeks since the op and my boobs look more like normal boobs. They don’t leak milk all the time now (although sometimes) and they aren’t as rock hard. Trevor says they are within the realm of him one day imagining they are normal boobs again. They are no longer covered in cabbage prints – in fact I am not using the cabbage at all now!

Roses

10/4 These arrived today from Russ and Lee-Anne. They are beautiful. I love the old-fashioned arrangement and the roses smell beautiful. I think I have actually start to go a bit loopy through this whole experience. I can’t believe the outpouring of love and support. I suppose I just never realized I had friends before?

Russ apologized that the flowers were “late”. I was like, are you kidding? Flowers die. “Late” flowers just means you have live flowers in your house longer 🙂
